Sensei

Sensei is a beautiful eleven month old german/german shepherd whose name means "teacher or instructor." He is an up-and-coming therapy dog, and has had quite a life already. His mother died of a sudden cardiac arrest before giving birth at the young dog age of six, and two of his other preemie littermates were the only survivors out of nine. He has met horses, danced with ballerinas, drank mojitos at a backyard party (don't ask) and flown to New York City to play with his buddies Susette-the-vet and Marea-the-doberman. This is also where he dressed up like Batman for his first Holloween. Marea is Wonder Woman in the same photo. He is being socialized with many people and places so that he may continue to assist me with my work with the bereaved, when requested. His name changes from Sensei to "Dense-i" when he does crazy stuff (often, BTW) and yes - he may just be the most photographed puppy in the world. I've included a few images here, and there are a lot more at my photography website (www.patrickdean.com/portraits/pets). More images will be added from time to time, as many of the wonderful people from hospice, my private practice, and elsewhere have expressed interest in following this wonder-dawggie and his exploits. Check back and see what he has been up to. Miss a day - miss a lot with this one.
